Additional Ways to Give

Contributing financially to The Exploris School is an investment in your student’s education. The Exploris School is a 501(c)(3) organization. Cash gifts are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Exploris Passive Fundraising

As voted on in 2011-2012, the PTO has transferred the control of the Annual Pass the Hat Campaign directly to Exploris and is in need of other avenues to fund the PTO budget going forward.  Luckily, we are fortunate to have multiple ways to earn money for Exploris just through our everyday shopping!   A few programs in particular allow us to earn cash exceptionally fast and do not require you to re-register every school year.  We call these our TOP 3.  If you are short on time, these are the three passive fundraisers that we ask you to consider participating in.  Passive Fundraising Checklist

Passive Fundraising TOP 3

#1  Kroger Cares Neighborhood Rewards

If you shop at Kroger, regularly or occasionally, you can help Exploris PTO earn easy money.  By using a special re-loadable gift card every time you shop for groceries, gift cards, or gas, you will contribute to a 5% rebate to the Exploris PTO.   This program works in conjunction with your Kroger Plus Reward loyalty card for discounts and fuel points so it has no impact on the current benefits you receive from these programs.  Kroger Cares Information

#2  Target RedCard

Open a Target REDcard DEBIT or Credit card at Target and earn 5% rebates for yourself on all purchases and an additional 1% rebate for each transaction for Exploris!  Link your card at by selecting Learn More under Take Charge of Education.  Select Exploris by location or by school ID – 115038.

#3  BoxTops for Education

Clip Box Tops AND boost earnings with eBoxTops by linking your Kroger Plus/Reward card.  Students may send in Box Tops all year and place in specially marked boxes located in each classroom.

Cash gifts can be made as a one-time donation or may be paid in installments toward a pledge.

Gifts of Securities

Securities can be given in lieu of a cash gift. If the security has appreciated in value, you may avoid paying taxes on the gains by gifting the stock directly to the school. We recommend that donors consult their financial advisor before making financial decisions.

Matching Gifts

You may be able to double or even triple your gift to the school. Many employers will match gifts made by their current employees or retirees to non-profit organizations like The Exploris School. Your company’s human resource department will be able to provide more information regarding these types of gifts and can provide the form you need to easily increase your participation level at Exploris.

Gifts In-Kind

Some donors take the opportunity to give to the school by providing tangible items such as computers, office or athletic equipment, books or other items related to our educational program. The Parent-Teacher Organization can help you determine the acceptability of gifts.

Planned Gifts

You can remember Exploris by leaving a gift in your will or estate plan. Making a planned gift may allow you to give more than you ever thought possible and, at the same time, you may experience tax advantages or income for a number of years or life.

Multi-Year Pledges or Major Gifts

For larger gifts to the school, pledges can be paid over several years.

General Mills “Box Tops for Education”:
