2019-2020 Before & After School Program

We are very excited that you have chosen the Before & After School Care Program for your student. This program is designed to be a safe, stimulating environment for students whose family situations or schedules require childcare before and/or after school. All students who attend The Exploris School are eligible to attend the Before & After School Care program. We hope you find the important information below pertaining to our Before and After School Program helpful and informative.

Hours of Operation:

EXPLORIS MIDDLE CAMPUS

Morning 7:00 AM to 7:55, Afternoon 3:15 PM to 6:00 PM

EXPLORIS ELEMENTARY CAMPUS

Morning 7:15 AM to 8:10, Afternoon 3:40 PM to 6:00 PM

MONTHLY FEES: (PER CHILD)

Payment for the Before and After Care program is due on the first day of school and then on the first of the month through May.  The Before & After School Care program will continue through the end of the school year in June. There is no payment due in June.

BEFORE SCHOOL

1 day = $20.00 per month plus one-time Registration fee $20.00

2 days = $35.00 per month plus one-time Registration fee $20.00

3 days = $45.00 per month plus one-time Registration fee $20.00

4 days = $55.00 per month plus one-time Registration fee $20.00

5 days = $65.00 per month plus one-time Registration fee $20.00

AFTER SCHOOL

1 day = $ 65.00 per month plus one-time Registration fee $20..00

2 days = $120.00 per month plus one-time Registration fee $20.00

3 days = $135.00 per month plus one-time Registration fee $20.00

4 days = $145.00 per month plus one-time Registration fee $20.00

5 days = $165.00 per month plus one-time Registration fee $20.00

Emergency Drop-In Fees:

Emergency Drop-In Before Care $10

Emergency Drop-In After Care $25

PAYMENT:

Payment for the Before and After School Care program is due on the first day of school and then on the first of the month through May.  The Before and After Care program will continue through the end of the school year in June. There is no payment due in June. Monthly invoices are sent by email as a courtesy.

REGISTRATION FEE:

The Registration fee is a one-time fee for each family to enroll your student(s) in the Before/After

School Care program. 

LATE FEES:

If you have not paid your Before & After School Care Program fees by the 5th day of the

month, there will be an additional late fee of $10.00 added to your monthly bill. If the fee(s) are not

paid by the 10th day of the month, your child may be dismissed from the program.

NO REFUNDS:

We will not give refunds if your student is absent or if the school schedule has been

affected by inclement weather. Fees are monthly and rates are not prorated. Fees will not be

adjusted for reduced hours, absences, inclement weather, etc.

EARLY DISMISSAL DAYS:

There is no After School Care on the early dismissal days during the 2019-2020 school year.

PLEASE NOTE:

Children will not be released from the after school care program to anyone other than

their parent or legal guardian for their protection. If you wish for your child to go home with

someone else, their name must be on the approved pick up list located on their registration form.

You will need to park and come into the school to sign your student into Before School Care and/or out of After School Care. For your child’s safety, only the parent or legal guardian can make changes to the registration. If any information needs to be changed throughout the school year, please contact the school. 

LATE PICKUP:

Please be considerate of our before and after school staff and be prompt when picking

up your child. You will be charged $5.00 per 15 minutes after 6:00 pm, $10.00 per 15 minutes after

6:30 pm. Excessive instances of late pick-up may result in termination of program participation.

PUNCH CARDS:

The Exploris School recognizes that parents/guardians may need sporadic

before/after school care during the school year. Parents/Guardians may purchase a “2019-2020

Before School Care Punch Card” for $75.00 and/or a “2019-2020 After School Care Punch Card” for$125.00. Each card will allow the student to attend a maximum of 10 before and/or after school

care program days as needed throughout the school year depending on the punch card that is

purchased. Each student is able to purchase a maximum of one (1) punch card per school year for

each program. A Registration form will need to be completed at the time of purchase and a

registration fee of $20.00 will be charged in addition to the punch card rate.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:

If there is a delay in school starting, then Before School Care is canceled. If we have an early dismissal, then After School Care is canceled. PLEASE make sure you have

arrangements for your children to be picked up on these early dismissal days. We will not have

before and after school care if Saturdays are used for make-up days.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS:

If your child(ren) has a medical condition, please make sure it is written on the registration form. Please give any medical devices/medications to the Before and After School Care Staff. Administration of medications can only be performed in accordance with The Exploris School policies.

SNACKS:

Students may bring a snack for the After School Care program. Snacks are not provided. 

EXPECTATIONS:

Students must report to before care immediately when entering the school and report to

aftercare directly upon dismissal. Students are not permitted to leave school at the end of the day

and then return to school and attend the aftercare program. Exploris Student Conduct rules must

be followed by all students in the Before & After School Care Program. 

Before & After School Care Expectations:

• Follow all directions given by the staff quickly.
• While indoors, sit quietly without running around, talk softly to neighbors, read, complete homework, draw, play a game…
• Be respectful of others. Keep your hands, arms, feet to yourself and use kind words.
• Follow all school rules both indoors and outdoors.
• Electronic devices such as cell phones, headphones, and earbuds, must stay put away in backpacks unless the person in charge has given permission for use.
• Ask permission to leave the room.
• Ask permission to take out materials.
• Use school property, including classrooms, furniture, and borrowed materials appropriately, and return borrowed materials to their place when finished using them.
• Clean up and take all belongings with you when you leave. Leave the space as good or better than you found it. 

If a student does not meet these expectations, a parent/guardian will be contacted. If non-compliance continues, the student will be suspended from Before and/or After School Care.

Severe infractions shall result in immediate dismissal.
